Sue Foster FCA
Sue has been a Partner at Knill James since 1995 and has considerable expertise and experience in the sector. Sue is a member of the National UK200 Charities Group Committee and also acts for a number of schools and charities as engagement partner.
On a voluntary basis Sue is a corporation member of Sussex Downs College, sitting on the main board and also their Audit and Human Resources Committees.
David W Martin FCA
David has recently joined Knill James from Mazars LLP where he was Head of Charities and Education in Brighton. He also has experience in a “Big Four” practice where he worked internationally providing assurance and business advisory services. At Mazars LLP David acted as engagement partner for a portfolio of audit clients including over 25 charities, public sector clients and a number of other not-for-profit organisations, including Varndean, Plumpton and Brinsbury Colleges.
Overall, David has 25 years audit experience. Outside of Knill James David is closely involved with the Business Community Partnership in Brighton, part of the national Business In The Community organisation (BITC).
Mark Filsell ACA
Mark is a senior education and charity specialist. He works with our clients on governance matters, business planning and financial reporting. Mark is responsible for delivery of our internal training in the sector as well as performing quality control reviews where appropriate. He has worked with a top 10 firm at a senior management level and was part of their National Charities Group in addition to managing a portfolio of FE College clients.
Mark supports the team on a technical and advisory basis as required.
