Kevin Powell, Joint Senior Partner
The UK200Group, the UK’s leading association of independent chartered accountants and law firms, has announced the appointment of Kevin Powell as Chairman of the UK200Groups’ board. Kevin has been a member of the UK200Group’s board since January 2014 and has served as Vice-President for the past two years. During his tenure as Vice-President Kevin has been instrumental in developing the strategy to transform the UK200Group into a modern, progressive and forward-thinking business association.
The UK200 Group brings together around 150 member offices in the UK with over 500 partners. These serve around 150,000 business clients in the SME and owner-managed business sectors. The Group grew by over 10% last year, which reflects its’ success in helping its’ members drive performance.
Welcoming Kevin to his new role, UK200Group CEO, Declan Swan said:

Speaking of his new role, Kevin says:
“I count myself very fortunate to be taking over as Chairman during a period of exciting growth for the Group.. I’m committed to continue modernising the agenda set out in our strategic plan: ‘Getting Fit for the Future’. “
“I’m lucky to inherit a fantastic Board with many talented people. We now have a range of skills including HR, strategic planning and technology. I am also pleased to have the support of Peter Duff, a Partner with Scottish law firm Morisons LLP, who has been elected to the role of Vice-Chairman with responsibility for marketing and business development. As I look ahead into 2018, we will pursue several key projects including:
- Preparing our members for GDPR
- Helping our members lever the benefits of digitalisation
- Supporting our members with marketing and business development.
We will also finalise our plans to revamp our renowned Quality Assurance and Standards (QAS) scheme. Further developing new and better ways to benchmark data and support practice management in firms of all sizes across the Group’.
