The Chancellor announces increased support in new Plan for Jobs

On 22nd October the government announced it was increasing the financial support available for businesses and workers, extending what was previously set out in its Winter Economy Plan and making further grants available.

The table below gives some example calculations which show the difference between the help provided by the Job Support Scheme (JSS) announced in the Winter Economy Plan and the increased level of support promised in the new Plan for Jobs, setting out the impact for both employer and employee.
