What impact will Brexit have on business contracts?

Some of the terms in existing contracts may no longer be relevant post-Brexit or they may raise legal or practical questions in the future.

If any of your contracts – e.g. terms of business, sale of goods, or employment contracts – make reference to the UK being a member state of the EU or rely on EU regulation, then they may need revising.

We strongly advise you to contact your legal adviser and conduct a review of all your contracts and terms.

Here to help – a Brexit guide and webinar

To help SMEs, we are holding a webinar at 3pm on Wednesday 9 December which will provide guidance on what you need to do to prepare for Brexit and will be followed by a Q&A session. You can register for the webinar here.

We have also produced some helpful materials including a Guide for SMEs (with useful links to tools and further resources) and a 15-point Action Plan. Both of these can be found on our Preparing for Brexit web page here.

If you need any further advice, please do get in touch.
