Knill James wins two categories at South East Dealmakers Awards 2023

Knill James is delighted to announce that its Corporate Finance team's outstanding year has been recognised with two awards at the 2023 South East Dealmakers Awards.

These prestigious annual awards celebrate the achievements of the region's M&A professionals, and Knill James took the trophy for Deal of the Year over £10 million. This was in recognition of the team's work on the sale of Leander International Pet Foods' Arden Grange brand to Alphapet, the leading technology-driven brand platform for premium pet food in Europe.

This complex international deal saw the sale of a nationally recognised brand, whose name has been retained along with the local workforce, making it the stand-out deal according to the judges. Congratulations are also due to Rebecca Glazebrook and her team at PDT Solicitors who worked alongside Knill James on the transaction.

The firm's second win of the night came when Kirsty Wilson was announced as Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year. Kirsty led the Corporate Finance team at Knill James to a record year in 2022; she also completed her largest transaction to date and successfully advised local businesses on transactions totalling more than £100m in deal value.

This award tops off a phenomenal year for Kirsty who was also recently promoted to Partner. Kirsty commented: 'I am very honoured to win this award and feel it is also a testament to the amazing team at Knill James, as I could not have achieved all that I have without their hard work and support.'
